I am a textile maker and designer from Seoul.
I’m currently at the Fashion Institute of Technology studying Textile Development and Marketing.
My childhood interests lay dormant as I initially pursued an engineering career in San Francisco. I rediscovered my passion for textiles during a solo trip to Mexico last year, when I became captivated by the rugs of the indigenous Zapotecs. I was fascinated by the people and stories behind one of the oldest forms of art that is textiles.
Since that experience, I’ve continued to study the legacy of textile-making through natural dyeing, weaving, and knitting. I’m inspired by how the simplest line, color, or material can create the most stunning multi-sensory experience.
I hope to create the same feeling of wonder.
